The Symposium on Campus Alcohol Practices is an opportunity for higher education professionals from COFHE member institutions across the country to come together and make an impact on the serious issues facing college students today. We hope that you will join us in this opportunity to discuss the unique opportunities and challenges shared by COFHE institutions as they seek to address this crucial issue.
The symposium will be held on January 21, 2009 at Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This effort will bring together professionals from the COFHE member schools to (1) discuss the Guiding Principles developed among COFHE institution members over the previous 2 years, (2) provide for a dialogue associated with best practices and program implementation, and (3) develop the organizational structure of our consortium . This session will be held the day prior to NASPA’s 2009 NASPA Strategies Conference: Alcohol Abuse Prevention & Intervention scheduled for January 22nd – 24th in Boston, Massachusetts
We are encouraging Institutions to send as many representatives as possible for this event. We are hopeful in securing as many COFHE member institutions as possible for this first business meeting. If there are specific issues or topics you would like to see addressed, please list them on the registration form below. The meeting will run from 1 pm - 5 pm, concluding with a dinner reception for all attendees which will begin shortly after at 5:30pm. If you plan to attend this meeting, you must complete the registration form below no later than November 30, 2008. (Late registration deadline, however, is December 15, 2008 and will be accompanied by late fees).
We hope that you will be able to join us, and look forward to strengthening our collaborations.
